VILLAGE OF ACME IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA BYLAW 2025-08 AMENDING BYLAW 2016-3
Being a bylaw of the Village of Acme in the Province of Alberta, Canada TO AMEND BYLAW 2016-3 WASTE AND RECYCLING BYLAW in the Village of Acme.
WHEREAS the Municipal Government Act authorizes a municipality to pass a bylaw respecting service provided by or on behalf of the municipality including the power to amend the bylaw;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Village of Acme deem it necessary to amend Section 5 and Schedule "A" of Bylaw 2016-3 to provide for monthly billing to utility customers and updated rates.
NOW THEREFORE, THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF ACME, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREBY AMENDS BYLAW 2016-3 WASTE AND RECYCLING BYLAW AS FOLLOWS:
## 5. UTILITY BILLING AMENDMENT
- 5.1 The Village shall issue a utility bill for each Account, on a monthly basis or such other periods as determined in the discretion of the Operator.
- 5.2 The Village may issue a combined utility bill including other public utility services provided by the Village in respect of a Premises in addition to the provision of Waste Collection and Disposal, in which case the utility bill shall state as a separate amount the amount payable pursuant to this Bylaw.
- 5.3 Waste service applies to all properties that have a residential or commercial building on the property. Bare land property will not be charged for waste services.
- 5.4 Waste collection for each property will be determined by its zoning.
## SCHEDULE "A" AMENDMENT
Waste Collection and Disposal Fees shall be billed at a rate set out in the Village of Acme Master Rates Bylaw.
THIS BYLAW COMES INTO FORCE ON THE DATE OF THIRD READING.
