{B3737933.DOC;2} BYLAW [insert no.] BYLAW 2020-06 VILLAGE OF ALLIANCE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF ALLIANCE IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO AMEND THE FLAGSTAFF REGIONAL SUBDIVISION AND DEVELOPMENT APPEAL BOARD BYLAW 2019-04 WHEREAS the Council of the Village of Alliance passed the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw 2020-06, to establish an intermunicipal subdivision and development appeal board to hear subdivision and development appeals; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Village of Alliance deems it beneficial to amend the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw; AND WHEREAS pursuant to section 191 of the Municipal Government Act a council is authorized to amend a bylaw; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Village of Alliance hereby enacts as follows: 1. This Bylaw may be cited as "Bylaw 2020-06, amending the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw". 2. This Bylaw shall amend the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw, as follows: 2.1 Section 2 is amended by adding "the Village of Amisk," after "the Village of Alliance," and before "the Town of Daysland,". 2.2 Section 3 is repealed and the following is substituted: "3. The position of clerk is established as for the purpose of carrying out the powers, duties and functions of the clerk in accordance with the Municipal Government Act and the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board agreement. The Council of the Village of Alliance delegates to the Chief Administrative Officer the authority to appoint one or more clerks to the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board in accordance with the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board agreement." 3. The Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw, in all other respects, remains the same. 4. If any portion of this Bylaw is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalid portion shall be severed and the remainder of the Bylaw is deemed invalid. 5. This Bylaw becomes effective on the date it is signed and passed. READ A FIRST TIME this _______ day of ____________, 2020. READ A SECOND TIME this _______ day of ____________, 2020.
