A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF BEISEKER TO ESTABLISH FEES, RATES AND CHARGES FOR SERVICES PROVIDED
BY THE VILLAGE OF BEISEKER.
WHEREAS, Section 8 of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000 as amended,
authorizes a Municipality, by Bylaw to establish fees for licences, permits and approvals;
AND WHEREAS, Section 61 (2) of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statues of Alberta 2000, as
amended authorizes a Municipality to charge fees, tolls and charges for the use of its property;
AND WHEREAS, Section 481 (1) of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, as
amended authorizes a Municipality to establish fees payable by any person wishing to make a complaint to
the Assessment Review Board,
AND WHEREAS, Section 630.1 of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, as
amended authorizes a Municipality to establish fees for planning functions,
AND WHEREAS, Section 6 of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, as amended
gives a Municipality natural person powers, which imply the power to charge for goods and services
provided,
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Village of Beiseker, duly assembled and pursuant to the Municipal
Government Act, Chapter M-26-1 Revised Statutes of Alberta, enacts as follows:
1.0
BYLAW TITLE
This bylaw shall be cited as the 2026 Fees and Schedule Bylaw.
2.0
APPLICATION
a)
The fees and charges payable for municipal services provided by the Village shall be as
outlined in Schedules A through G, which is attached and forms part of this Bylaw.
b)
That the rates specified in Schedules A through G which is attached to this Bylaw, may
be changed from time to time, as Council desires, by resolution of Council.

TRANSITION AND EXECUTION
a)
This Bylaw shall repeal Bylaw 2025-08 and amendments thereto on the date of the
final passing.
b)
That this Bylaw shall come into full force and effect on the date of final passing.

Water - $4.49 per cubic metre
Sewer - $1.75 per cubic metre of water consumed

These rates apply to all residential and commercial properties
Bulk Water Fee
$4.28 per cubic meter
Reconnection Fee
$50.00 when water has been turned off due to
accounts in arrears (utility bylaw), or if water is
requested to be turned off by the resident.
Water Meter (New or Replaced)
New meter and labour for installation will be
charged to the landowner at cost for a new build or
when the Landowner is at fault for the loss or damage
to an existing meter.
Interest on Overdue Accounts
2% of outstanding balance owing
Mailing Fee
$2.00 per utility bill when bills are mailed by regular post.
