BYLAW 07-2025 OF THE TOWN OF BRUDERHEIM (hereinafter referred to as "the Municipality") IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO AMEND BYLAW 01-2022 BEING A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF BRUDERHEIM, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, TO REGULATE VEHICLE, ANIMAL, AND PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC. WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Act reads that "the Council of a Municipality may, with respect to a highway under its direction, control, and management, make bylaws that are not consistent with this Act;" WHEREAS, the Municipal Government Act gives the Municipalities the power to enact Bylaws and impose fines and penalties for infractions of their Bylaws; NOW THEREFORE, the Municipal Council of the Town of Bruderheim, Alberta, duly assembled, hereby enacts as follows. 1. Bylaw 01-2022 the Town of Bruderheim to Regulate Vehicle, Animal and Pedestrian Traffic is hereby amended as follows: a. The following is inserted under Section 307 OFF-HIGHWAY VEHICLES 1.1 No person shall operate an off-highway vehicle within the limits of the Town, unless: 1.1.1 they are fourteen (14) years of age or older; 1.1.2 they are traveling on the most direct route when going to and returning from activities outside the limits of the Town; 1.1.3 it is between the hours of 0800 and 2200; and 1.1.4 the maximum rate of speed which a driver may operate an off-highway vehicle within the Town shall be twenty (20) kilometres per hour. 1.1.5 During an emergency, fire ban, disaster or search and rescue operation with the Town, the provisions of this bylaw may be waived, suspended or varied by the CAO, or the Director of Emergency Management. EFFECTIVE DATE: THIS Bylaw shall take effect on the day of final passing thereof. READ a First time the 21st day of May 2025. READ a Second time the 21st day of May 2025.
