## SUMMER VILLAGE OF BURNSTICK LAKE BYLAW NUMBER 37-99
BEING A BYLAW OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF BURNSTICK LAKE, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO APPOINT A HEAD OF MUNICIPALITY FOR THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY (F.O.I.P.) ACT, AND TO ESTABLISH A SCHEDULE OF FEES UNDER F.OL.P.
WHEREAS the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake is required to provide for a head of the municipality for F.O.I.P., and a schedule of fees for F.O.I.P. requests and.
AND WHEREAS it is the desire of Council of the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake to establish the administrative structure of the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake in relation to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and to set fees thereunder.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to the provisions Section 87 and 89 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, being Chapter F-18.5 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1994 and amendments thereto, Council of the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake, in the Province of Alberta duly assembled enact as follows:
## 1. Definitions
- 1.1 "F.O.I.P." means the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act R.S.A. 1994 c.F-18.5
- 1.2 "Municipal Administrator" means the person appointed as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake, and includes any person who holds the position of the Municipal Administrator in an acting capacity.
- 1.2 "Municipality" means the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake and includes any board, committee, commission, panel, agency or corporation that is created or owned by the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake and all the members or officers of which are appointed or chosen by the Summer Village of Burnstick Lake.
2. Appointment of the Head of the Municipality
- 2.1 For the purpose of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the Municipal Administrator of the Municipality shall be appointed as the Head of the Municipality and his/her appointment shall continue along with his/her term as Municipal Administrator.
## 3. Schedule of Fees
- 3.1 Where a person makes a request for access to a record under section 7(1) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act SA 1994 and is required t pay a fee for services, the fee payable is in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Regulation AR 200/95, as amended from time to time or any successor Regulation that sets fees for requests for information from the Province.
## 4. Effective Date
- 4.1 This bylaw shall come into full force and effect October 1, 1999.
