## By-Law #1547
A By-Law of the Town of Cardston, in the Province of Alberta to regulate the time which citizens shall not use or be in Town owned facilities/parks within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Cardston.
Whereas, the Municipal Government Act Chapter M-26.1, RSA 1994, and amendments thereto, permits the Town of Cardston to enact bylaws to regulate or prohibit;
Now therefore the Council of the Town of Cardston, duly assembled,. enacts as follows:
Title:
This By-Law shall be known as the Facility/Park Closure By-Law.
- 1) Definitions
Peace Officer
- i) R.C.M.P.
2. ii) Special Constable
3. iii) Bylaw Officer
- 2) No person shall be within the confines of any facility/park as outlined in Appendix A and Map 1 within the Town of Cardston, between the hours of 12:30 a.m. - 5:00 a.m. unless the Town of Cardston through the Administrator or his designate authorizes such presence.
- 3) Any person in contravention of this section shall forthwith vacate said facility/park when requested to do so by a peace officer.
- 4) Any person that fails to vacate said facility/park when requested to do so shall be
subject to the penalty section of this by-law.
- 5) Penalty Section
For the First Offence a fine of $50.00; for the Second Offence a fine of $100.00; and for Third and subsequent offences $150.00 per occurrence.
This By-Law shall come into force upon receiving the Third and Final Reading.
