BYLAW#3249 2025 Schedule of Fees, Rates and Charges Bylaw A bylaw of the County of Grande Prairie No. 1 in the Province of Alberta, for the purpose of adopting a revised 2025 Schedule of Fees, Rates and Charges. WHEREAS: pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, c. M-26 and amendments thereto, a Council may pass bylaws to establish fees on behalf of the municipality; and WHEREAS: the County of Grande Prairie No. 1 wishes to establish fees for licenses, permits and approvals bylaw; and WHEREAS: the Municipal Government Act provides for the provision of municipal utility services subject to the terms, costs or charges established by the County. NOW THEREFORE, under the authority of the Municipal Government Act, the Council of the County of Grande Prairie No. 1, in the Province of Alberta, hereby enacts as follows: 1. The 2025 Schedule of Fees, Rates and Charges is established by this Bylaw as attached in Schedule A and forms part of this Bylaw. 2. Method of payment of fees, rates or charges is to be at the discretion of the County of Grande Prairie No. 1. INTERPRETATION 3. This Bylaw shall be cited as the "2025 Schedule of Fees, Rates and Charges" Bylaw. 4. Headings in this Bylaw are for reference purposes only. 5. Words in the masculine gender will include the feminine gender whenever the context so requires and vice versa. 6. Words in the singular shall include the plural or vice versa whenever the context so requires. DEFINITIONS 7. In this Bylaw: Bylaw Name: 2025 Schedule of Fees, Rates and Charges Bylaw Bylaw Number: 3249 Page 1 of 2 7.1 "County Manager" means the person appointed by Council to the position of County Manager or Chief Administrative Officer under the Municipal Government Act for the County or designate. 7.2 "County" means the municipality of the County of Grande Prairie No. 1 having jurisdiction under the Municipal Government Act and other applicable legislation. SEVERABILITY 8. Every provision of this bylaw is independent of all other provisions and if any provision is declared invalid by a Court, then the invalid provisions shall be severed and the remainder provisions shall remain valid and enforceable. REPEAL 9. Bylaw #3241 and amendments thereto are hereby rescinded as of April 7, 2025. EFFECTIVE DA TE 10. This Bylaw shall come into force and effect on the third and final reading thereof.
