OF THE
## VILLAGE OF HYTHE
A BY-LAW OF THE VILLAGE OF HYTHE IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA RELATING TO THE IMPOSITION OF PENALTIES ON UNPAID TAXES.
Under the Authority and pursuant to the Provisions of Sections 106 and 107 of the Municipal Taxation Act, being Chapter 54, 1969 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta with amendments thereto, the Council of the Village of Hythe enacts as follows:
- THAT Section 3 of By-law No. 355 of the Village of Hythe regarding penalties on taxes remaining unpaid after the 31st day of July of the year for which the same are levied be repealed as of the date of the final passing of this By-law.
- 2) THAT Section 4 of By-law No. 355 of the Village of Hythe regarding penalties on taxes remaining unpaid after the 31st day of December of the year for which the same are levied be repealed as of the date of the final passing of this By-law.
- 3) THAT, in the event of any taxes remaining unpaid after the thirtyfirst day of July of the year for which the same are levied, there shall be added by way of penalty an amount of EIGHTEEN (18%) percent on the first day of August and every amount so added shall form a part of the taxes which are created a special lien upon the land under the provisions of the said Act.
- 4) THAT, in the event of any taxes remaining unpaid after the thirtyfirst day of December of the year for which the same are levied, there shall be added by way of a penalty an amount of EIGHTEEN (18%) percent on the first day of January of the next succeeding year and each succeeding year so long as the taxes remain unpaid and every amount so added shall form a part of the taxes which are created a special lien upon the land under the provisions of the said Act.
- 5) THAT, this By-law comes into effect upon the date of the final passing thereof.
