U ## VILLGE OF HYTHE BYLAW # 496 ## A BYLAW FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONTROLLING MUNICIPAL WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR OUTDOOR WATER USE. WHEREAS pursuant to the Municipal Government Act. Revised Statutes of Alberta, 2000 and amendments thereto, Council may pass a bylaw for municipal purposes respecting public utilities AND WHEREAS this bylaw applies to all properties connected to the Village Municipal Water Supply AND WHEREAS it is necessary to control the use of the municipal water supply to ensure that all indoor water needs are met, the Village of Hythe enacts the following: ## 1. DEFINITION - a) "outdoor water use" includes watering lawns, gardens, streets, yards or grounds 2. "municipal water supply" means piped water supply from the the municipal well house(s) ## 2. GENERAL RULES - a) property with even numbered addresses use water outdoors on even - c) hours of outdoor water use are 6 to 9 AM in the morning and 8 - 10 pm in the evening 3. ) pumbery day of tumbered addresses use water outdoors on od umbered days of the mont! ## 3. PENALTY FOR CONTRAVENTION OF OUTDOOR WATER USE BYLAW - a) first offence $100.00 - b) second and continuing offences $300.00 ## 4. DEBT OWING Any property owner charged with a fee pursuant to this bylaw must pay the fee within the time specified in the invoice. Any fee that is not paid in the prescribed time is an amount owning to the municipality and is recoverable as a debt due to the municipality. 5. Bylaw #483 is rescinded in its entirety. ## 6. EFFECTIVE DATE This bylaw shall come into effect on the day of final reading.
