## THE COUNTY OF VERMILION RIVER IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA ## BYLAW 23-04 ## Supplementary Assessment Bylaw BEING A BYLAW OF THE COUNTY OF VERMILION RIVER IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTARY ASSESSMENT WHEREAS the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended, provides that Council may pass a bylaw to authorize the preparation of supplementary assessments for the improvements within the municipality. NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the County of Vermilion River in the Province of Alberta duly assembled, hereby enact as follows: 1. This Bylaw may be cited as the "Supplementary Assessment Bylaw." 2. In this Bylaw, including this section: 3. 2.2 "Supplementary Assessment" means an assessment of all improvements prepared in accordance with Part 9, Division 4 of the Act. 4. 2.1 "Act" means the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended. 5. 3 The purpose of this Bylaw is to authorize a supplementary assessment of all improvements pursuant to the Act. 6. 4 This Bylaw shall take effect as of the third and final reading and shall remain in force until such time that it is repealed by Council. SHOULD any provision of this Bylaw be determined to be invalid, then such provisions shall be severed, and the remaining bylaw shall be maintained. THIS Bylaw repeals and replaces Bylaw 22-12 upon coming into effect. THIS Bylaw shall come into force and effect upon receiving a third and final reading and having been signed by the Reeve and Chief Administrative Officer.
