## 1. CONSTRUCTION
"Fire Pit" means a fire which is totally confined within a non-combustible structure or container that has the draft and smoke screen having a mesh size no larger than 13 millimetres and which is ventilated in such a metter as to preclude the escape of combustible materials including ash and which fire is for the purpose of cooking or obtaining warmth may only be fuelled with seasoned wood, charcoal, natural gas or propane and must be a minimum of 4 meters from flammable materials and a maximum of 4 feet in diameter.
"Fire Pit" cannot be placed on top of any underground utility; or in close proximity of such underground utility so as to interfere with the repair/maintenence of utility.
## 2. OPERATION
a fire pit without first taking "precautions" to ensure that the fire can be kept under control at all times. -Operate a fire pit when weather conditions are conducive to a fire readily escaping out of control.
-Fail to take steps fire for the purpose of preventing it from spreading onto land other that its - Ignite, opereate, or leave any burning matter in a "Fire Pit" unless attended by a responsible adult at all times.
A fee of $10.00 per permit will be charged to cover the cost of issuance and inspection.

## THE VILLAGE OF GLENDON IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA BEING A BYLAW TO ESTABLISH CONDITIONS OF A FIRE PIT
Whereas under the authority of the Municipal Government Act o.c. Section 8 and amendments thereto, the council of the Village Glendon is authorized to implement this Fire Pit Bylaw #362.
Now therefore the Council of the Village of Glendon enacts Bylaw #362 as follows:
