## BY-LAW NO. 99 A BYLAW of the Village of Glenwood to enter into an agreement with the participating local authorities within the boundaries of the Municipal District of Cardston and Waterton Park to provide for the joint establishment and operation of a regional solid waste system. WHEREAS Section 118 of the Municipal Government Act, being Chapter 246 SA 970 and an one a thorizo proe 1970 and' amendments thereto provides 'making of an agreement with the council of any other munt pale peratonand trust one worshor the performance of any other matter considered by all the concerned to be a benefit to their respective municipalities; and (2) the council may in the bylaw appoint one or more of its members to be members of a joint committee with members appointed by the councils of other municipalities and may delegate to such joint committee power to construct, maintain, control and manage such undertaking, including the power to disburse the proceeds of debentures or other funds used for the purpose of such undertaking; and local authorities wish to establish a regional solid waste system to serve all participating municipalities; NOW THEREFORE by virtue of the powers vested in it the council of the Village of Glenwood enacts as follows: the Village of Glenwood enter into an agreement with the other participating local authorities within the boundaries of the Municipal District of Cardston and Waterton Park for the construction, ownership, maintenance, operation and use of a regional solid waste system; and the Mayor of the Village of Glenwood be authorized to represent the Village of Glenwood on a regional solid waste management authority responsible for the construction, maintenace, control and management of the regional solid waste system and to sign the aforementioned agreement with the other participating local authorities on behalf of the Village of Glenwood; and THAT the regional solid waste management authority shall have the power to disburse the proceeds of debentures or other funds used for the purpose of the regional solid waste system.
