## BY-LAW 190-97
A BY-LAW OF THE VILLAGE OF GLENWOOD IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REGULATING THE USE OF MOTORIZED AND OTHER WHEELED VEHICLES ON SIDEWALKS.
WHEREAS the Municipal Government Act. Chapter M-26.1 empowers a Council to pass By-Laws regarding the safety, health and welfare of people and the protection of people and property:
WHEREAS it is desirable to regulate the use of motorized and other wheeled vehicles on sidewalks;
NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF GLENWOOD IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Motorized vehicle means car, truck, motorcycle, motorbike, ATV, or any vehicle powered by an engine.
2. Other wheeled vehicle means bicycle, skateboard, inline skate, roller skate.
3. It is unlawful for anyone to ride or drive a motorized vehicle on any sidewalk in the Village of Glenwood.
4. It is unlawful for anyone to use any other wheeled vehicles on Avenue on Block 21 from the corner of Main Avenue and First Street N.W. south to the corner of Main Avenue and Centre Street.
5. In using other wheeled vehicles on any of the other sidewalks in the Village, the user of the wheeled vehicle must times, and exercise caution, be in control at all give preference to the pedestrian.
