VILLAGE OF HEISLER
BYLAW 555-24
PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
A BYLAW BEING ENACTED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF
ASSESSOR OF THE VILLAGE OF HEISLER AND DESIIGNATING THE DUTIES OF THE
POSITION
WHEREAS Section 210 (1) of the Municipal Government Act may establish one or more positions
to carry out the powers, duties and functions of a designated officer under this or any other
enactment or bylaw:
AND WHEREAS Section 210 of the Municipal Government Act aforesaid provides that a Council
shall designate the powers, duties, and functions of a designated officer.
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Village of Heisler wishes to establish the position of Assessor
and designate the duties of the position in accordance with Section 210 of the Municipal
Government Act aforesaid;
This bylaw may be cited as the "Assessor Bylaw" of the Village of Heisler in the
Province of Alberta.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Village of Heisler, duly assembled, enacts the following:
1)
That the position of Assessor for the Village of Heisler be and is hereby
established.
2)
That Larry James, Wainwright Assessment Group Ltd. be and is hereby appointed
to the following position:
a)
Assessor;
3)
That the Assessor of the Village of Heisler shall perform the following
Duties:
a)
Prepare assessments, assessment rolls, and tax rolls in accordance with
Parts 9 and Parts 10 of the Municipal Government Act aforesaid:
b)
The Chief Administrative Officer may delegate other related duties from
time to time.
Bylaw 324-06 is hereby repealed.
This bylaw comes into effect on the date of third reading.
