BYLAW #489-15
VILLAGE OF HEISLER
PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
A bylaw of the Village of Heisler to establish the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and
Development Appeal Board.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 627 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter
M-26, as amended (the "Act"), a council must by bylaw establish a development appeal
board, or authorize a municipality to enter into an agreement with one or more
municipalities to establish a regional subdivision and development appeal board, or both;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Village of Heisler deems it necessary to establish a
subdivision and development appeal board to hear subdivision and development appeals
in accordance with Division 10 of Part 17 of the Act;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Village of Heisler duly assembled, hereby enacts as
follows:
1. This Bylaw may be cited as the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and
Development Appeal Board Bylaw.
2. A subdivision and development appeal board is hereby established.
3. The Village of Heisler is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with the
Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board to provide for the
following:
(a) The hearing of subdivision and development appeals;
(b) The procedure and conduct of the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and
Development Appeal Board and its members; and
(c) The functions and duties of the Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and
Development Appeal Board
4. Fees for Subdivision and Development Appeals will be charged as per the
Flagstaff Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Agreement.
