## BYLAW NUMBER 2022/01
BY-LAW NO. 2022/01 is a bylaw of the Northeast Pigeon Lake Regional Services Commission, in the Province of Alberta, to provide sewer rates and charges in the Summer Villages of Itaska Beach, Argentia Beach, Silver Beach and Golden Days ("the Summer Villages").
WHEREAS: the Northeast Pigeon Lake Regional Services Commission was established on June 29, 1989, by Order in Council No. 376/89, and Alberta Regulation No. 162/89 pursuant to the Regional Municipal Services Act to provide sewage transmission and treatment services to the County of Wetaskiwin and the Summer Villages ("the Wastewater System").
AND WHEREAS: the Northeast Pigeon Lake Regional Services Commission considers it expedient to establish and clarify the sewer rates and charges for connection and use of the Wastewater System.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: the Northeast Pigeon Lake Regional Services Commission, duly assembled, hereby enacts as follows:
## 1. Definitions:
- 1.1 Commercial Service means, but is not limited to, service to a youth camp, hotel, restaurant, bar, laundromat, carwash, retail business or any other commercial entities that the Utility Officer decides makes similar usage on the Wastewater System using a service connection to the Wastewater System.
- 1.2 Dwelling means a residence that contains both a kitchen and sanitary facilities.
- 1.3 Kitchen means facilities used or designed to be used for the cooking and preparation of meals.
- 1.4 Residential Service means:
- a) service to a Dwelling using a service connection to the Wastewater System; and
- b) if there are two (2) or more Dwellings utilizing one service connection to the Wastewater System, service to each of those Dwellings as if they had their own, separate service connection.
2. That the sewer rates and charges for the Northeast Pigeon Lake Regional Services Commission shall be as follows:
- 2.1 $39.00 monthly per Residential Service
- 2.2 $53.00 monthly per Commercial Service
3. That this Bylaw comes into effect November 21, 2022.
- That Sewer Rates and Charges Bylaw 2019/01 be repealed in its entirety.
