Page 1 of 4 SUMMER VILLAGE OF LARKSPUR A BYLAW TO BE KNOWN AS THE FEES & CHARGES BYLAW Bylaw Name: Fees and Charges Bylaw Bylaw number 25-14 Date Approved: July 22, 2025 Reviewed By: Date Reviewed: WHEREAS, in accordance with the Municipal Government Act, a municipality has the authority to establish fees and charges for the provision of goods and services; AND WHEREAS the Summer Village of Larkspur wished to establish, in a bylaw, certain fees and charges. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Summer Village of Larkspur, in the Province of Alberta, duly assembled, enacts as follows: 1. That the Bylaw may be cited as the "Summer Village of Larkspur Fees and Charges Bylaw" 2. The rates and fees for the Summer Village of Larkspur are as set out in Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of this bylaw. 3. The Council of the Summer Village of Larkspur may, by resolution, waive or excuse a person or persons from paying all or part of a fee or charge that is set out in Schedule "A" where Council assesses, in their discretion, that the circumstances warrant such waiver or excusal. For certainty, this power is in addition to the authority granted to the Chief Administrative Officer, as the head of the public body under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, RSA 2000, c F-25 (the "Act"), to excuse a personal from paying all or part of a fee under that Act. 4. If any provision of this bylaw is declared invalid for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, all other provisions of this bylaw shall remain valid and enforceable. 5. Recovery of Unpaid Fees and Penalties Any fee or charge levied under this Bylaw that remains unpaid by the due date may be added to the tax roll of the property associated with the person liable for the fee, and shall be collected in the same manner as property taxes in accordance with Section 553 of the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, c. M-26. This Bylaw repeals Bylaw 96-02 and Bylaw 95-07 as well as any previous "Fees and Charges" Bylaw. Page 2 of 4 This Bylaw comes into effect upon the date of the final reading thereof.
