A Bylaw of the Town of Manning, in the Province of Alberta, for the Purpose of mending Bylaw No. 680/1997, Being the Town of Manning Bylaw Authorizing th peration of Off-Highway Vehicles within the Town of Mannin WHEREAS WHEREAS NOW THEREFORE Pursuant to the Province of Alberta Municipal Government Act, a Council may amend a Bylaw; and The Council of the Town of Manning deems it expedient to thorize and regulate the operation of "Off-Highwa hicles and "All Terrain" vehicles within the Town Pursuant to the authority granted under Section 18 (2X(b) of he Alberta Off-highway Vehicule Act, being Chapter O-i R.S.A. 2000 and amendments thereto, the Council of the Town of Manning hereby enacts as follows: - 1.. That "Off-highway Vehicles" and "All-terrain Vehicles be permitted to only operate in alleys in order to proceed to or return from areas outside the Town limits; roadways may be used only to gain access to alleys by the shortest and most direct route, but at no time shall Main Street (Hwy 35), sidewalks or walking trails be used for this - No person shall operate an "Off-highway Vehicle" or "Allterrain Vehicle" within the corporate limits of the Town of Manning between the hours of 11:00p.m. and 7:00a.m. 4. Operators of "Off-highway Vehicles" and "All-terrain Vehicles" shall yield to right-of-way at all times to other motor vehicles; 3. Operators of "Off-highway Vehicles" and "All-terrain Vehicles" shall travel single file only on the extreme righthand side of roadways or alleys and at a speed no greater than 15 km per hour; 5. A person who is guilty of a first offense under this by-law shall be liable to a fine of not more than $50.00; 6. A person who is guilty of a second or subsequent offense under this bylaw shall be liable to a fine of not more than $100.00.
