By-law No. 878
A Bylaw of the Town of Mayerthorpe in the Province of Alberta to regulate
House Numbering.
WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Mayerthorpe deem it necessary and expedient
to establish an orderly numbering of houses and businesses within the Town of
Mayerthorpe.
AND WHEREAS Mayerthorpe Town Council deems it advisable that Municipal
numberings should be the same as the utility companies.
NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the Municipal Government Act, Council of the Town of
Mayerthorpe, duly assembled, enacts as follows:
1. The house and business numbering system as shown on plans of ATCO Gas Ltd.,
be hereby adopted as the numbering plan for the Town of Mayerthorpe
2. Every property owner is required to have the number of the building or building
thereon.
3. Every person taking out a development permit for the construction of a new
building shall be required to have the number placed on the said building
immediately upon completion of the building.
4. The Town's Bylaw Enforcement Officer shall provide a two-week warning notice
prior to levying a $50.00 fine for non-compliance with this bylaw.
5. All house numbers will be a minimum of four inches in height and clearly visible
from the front street.
This bylaw shall come into effect on the date of final passage thereof.

Read a second time this 25th day of April 2005.
Read a third and final time this 25th day of April 2005.
