UTILITY RATES BYLAW
Bylaw No. 2022-06
A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF MCLENNAN, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, TO ESTABLISH UTILITY RATES
CHARGED TO CUSTOMERS FOR WATER, SEWER, GARBAGE AND RECYCLING.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 7 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, Revised Statues of
Alberta 2000, as amended, the Council of the Town of McLennan deems it expedient to pass a Bylaw
respecting public utilities;
NOW THEREFORE, under the authority of the Municipal Government Act, the Council of the Town of
McLennan, in the Province of Alberta, duly assembled, enacts as follows:
1. This Bylaw shall be called the "Utility Rates Bylaw".
2. There shall be levied monthly Water, Sewer, Garbage and Recycling charges against an Owner or
Occupant of a property who purchases or is required to purchase Utility Services from the Town and
whose name is on the Utility Service account.
3. Utility Rates in the Town of McLennan shall be set as follows:
Water Rates
Flat Water Charge

(5/8", 1", 1 ½", 2" or 6" water meter)
$4.00 per cubic meter
Truck Fill
$8.00 per cubic meter
Sewer Rates
Flat Residential Charge

Utility Rates Bylaw
THAT this bylaw repeals By-Law 2021-03, 2021-02, 2018-05.
THAT this Bylaw shall come into full force and effect on January 1, 2023.

READ a third time and finally passed this 14th of November, 2022
