SHORT TITLE AND PURPOSE
1.01
WHEREAS, Scentless Chamomile is designated as a Noxious Weed in Alberta Regulation AR
19/2010 of the Weed Control Act, S.A. 2008, and
1.02
WHEREAS, Scentless Chamomile is a prolific re-seeder and has been found in a few
locations throughout Mountain View County, and

WHEREAS, Mountain View County desires to control the spread of Scentless Chamomile in
the County, and

WHEREAS, the Weed Control Regulation, AR 19/2010, Section 9, authorizes a local authority
to make a bylaw designating plants within the municipality as prohibited noxious.

a.
"Prohibited Noxious Weed" means a plant designated in accordance with the
regulations under the Weed Control Act, SA 2008, as a prohibited noxious weed and
includes the plant's seeds.
b.
"Regulations' means the Weed Control Regulations, AR 19/2010.

3.01
Therefore the Council of Mountain View County hereby enacts as follows:
a.
That Scentless Chamomile be designated as a prohibited noxious weed within the
County of Mountain View as per Section 9 of the Weed Control Regulations of Alberta,
AR 19/2010.

4.01
This Bylaw shall come into effect at such time as it has received third (3rd) reading and has
been signed in accordance with the Municipal Government Act.
