Bylaw 25-1009
of the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16
A Bylaw of the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16, in the Province of Alberta for the purpose of
establishing rates and fees for the provision of goods and services, or on behalf of Greenview, as attached to
this bylaw as the Schedules of Fees.
Whereas, pursuant to section 7 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter M-26, a Council may pass
bylaws for municipal purposes respecting the following matters:
(a) People, activities and things in, on or near a public place or place that is open to the public; and
(b) Services provided by or on behalf of the municipality;
Whereas, pursuant to section 8 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter M-26, a Council may pass
bylaws for municipal purposes respecting the following matters:
(a) Provide for a system of licenses, permits or approvals, including any or all of the following:
i. Establishing fees for licenses, permits and approvals, including fees for licenses, permits and
approvals that may be in the nature of a reasonable tax for the activity authorized or for the purpose
of raising revenue.
Whereas, The Council of the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16, duly assembled deems it expedient to revise
the Schedules of Fees for the Municipality.
Therefore, the Council of the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16, duly assembled, hereby enacts as follows:
1.
TITLE
1.1. This Bylaw may be cited as the "2026 Schedules of Fees Bylaw"
2.
DEFINITIONS
2.1. Greenview means the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16.
3.
APPLICATION
3.1. This Bylaw establishes the rates, fees and charges for certain goods and services provided by
Greenview.
3.2. This Bylaw and the attached Schedules will be reviewed as required and amendments to any of the
rates and fees must be made by Council bylaw in accordance with Section 191(1) of the Municipal
Government Act.

3.3. All fees, fines, rates, and penalties provided for in other current bylaws shall remain in full force and
effect and may be charged in addition to the provisions stated in this Bylaw.
4.
RATES AND FEES
4.1. The rates and fees, for the year 2026, are established in the attached Schedules 'A' through 'K' and form
part of this Bylaw.
5.
REPEAL
5.1. Bylaw 24-970 "Schedules of Fees Bylaw" and any amendments thereto are hereby repealed.
6.
COMING INTO FORCE
6.1. Bylaw 25-1009, being the Schedules of Fees Bylaw, comes into full force upon third and final reading.

Grande Cache Recreation Centre (GCRC)
The Grande Cache Recreation Centre & Greenview Regional Multiplex is operated by the MD of Greenview, follows
the Canada Revenue Agency's (CRA) guidelines for GST exemptions related to youth programming and facility
rentals.
As such, Arena Rentals/ Fieldhouse Bookings/ Baseball Diamonds/ Aquatic facilities booked by non-profit
organizations or individuals exclusively for children aged 13 and under (under 14 years of age) are not subject to GST.
GST applies when participants are 14 years or older, when the rental is organized by a for-profit or commercial group,
when the booking includes mixed-age groups, or when additional taxable services like paid instructors or birthday
packages are included.
