BYLAW #02-AM-18
## BEING A BYLAW TO AMEND BYLAW 07-2011 THE AGRICULTURAL SERVICE BOARD BYLAW OF THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF SPIRIT RIVER #133
WHEREAS the Council of the Municipal District of Spirit River #133, in the Province of Alberta has adopted an Agricultural Service Board Bylaw No. 07-2011; and
WHEREAS the Council has the authority under the provisions of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, Chapter M-26 with amendments thereto, to make amendments to its Land Use Bylaw; and
WHEREAS the Council of the Municipal District of Spirit River #133 deems it desirable to amend the Agricultural Service Board Bylaw No. 07-2011; now
THEREFORE, the Council of the Municipal District of Spirit River #133, duly assembled, HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Agricultural Service Board Bylaw No. 07-2011Section 1. Be amended to read 1. That the advisory committee Consisting of 4 voting Council members, four voting members at large, one non-voting Alberta Agriculture and one non-voting Agricultural Fieldman. as illustrated on Schedule "A" attached hereto.
2. That this bylaw shall come into force and take effect upon the Third and Final Reading thereof

## Agricultural Service Board Bylaw BYLAW NO. 07-2011
A BYLAW of the Municipal District of Spirit River No. 133, in the Province of Alberta, for the purpose of establishing an Agricultural Service Board.
WHEREAS, the Agricultural Service Board Act empower a Council to pass a bylaw to establish an Agricultural Service Board; and
WHEREAS, the council of the Municipal District of Spirit River No. 133 has determined it is in the best interest of the municipality to pass such a bylaw.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Municipal District of Spirit River No. 133, duly assembled, enacts the following:
- 4 members 1. The Agricultural Service Board for the Municipal District of Spirit Rier No. 133 will be an advisory committee consisting of 4 voting Council members, 3 voting members al large, one non-voting Alberta Agriculture, Food and Rural Development representative
2. The Chairman of the Agricultural Service Board shall be elected at the first Agricultural Service Board after the Council's Organizational meeting, with all voting members eligible for the position.
3. The duration of the term for the Agricultural Service Board members will be one year, coinciding with the Organizational meeting of Council.
- Selection of all the Agricultural Service Board members at large will occur during the Organizational meeting of Council, and will be based on agricultural experience and agricultural community involvement of the candidate.
- All Agricultural Service Board members at large shall be agricultural producers and reside within the boundaries of the Municipal District of Spirit River No. 133 at the time of selection and for the duration of the term of appointment.
- A person who is a member of the Agricultural Service Board member at large ceases to be a member of the Agricultural Service Board if, without being authorized by a resolution of the Agricultural Service Board, the member is absent from 3 consecutive meetings of the Agricultural Service Board.
- Bylaw No. 15-2001, is repealed.
- This Bylaw shall be effective on the date of its final passing.
