## BYLAW # 486 Being a Bylaw of the Village of Nampa In the Province of Alberta

## A BYLAW FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE PLACEMENT OF CERTAIN PLANT SPECIES TO THE NOXIOUS WEED DESIGNATION

WHEREAS, the Weed Control Act and Weed Control Regulations (Sec 9(1)) of Alberta allows a local authority to designate plants as a weed within their municipality;
AND WHEREAS the growth of these plants may have an adverse effect on current agricultural production;
NOW, THEREFORE, by the virtue of the power conferred upon it by the Weed Control Act of Alberta, the council of the Village of Nampa duly assembled in an open meeting enacts as follows:
1. This bylaw may be cited as the "Elevation of Weed to Noxious Designation bylaw"
2. That the following plant be declared a noxious weed in the Village of Nampa:
Kochia - (Bassia scoparia(L))
3. This Bylaw shall come into force and effect on the final day of passing thereof.
