## BYLAW NO. 2026-01 ## A BYLAW TO AUTHORIZE THE RATES OF TAXATION TO BE LEVIED AGAINST ASSESSABLE PROPERTY WITIN THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF PARKLAND BEACH IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA FOR THE 2026 TAXATION YEAR Whereas, the Council of the Summer Village of Parkland Beach has prepared and adopted detailed estimates of the Summer Village's revenues and expenditures as required, at the Council meeting held on March 16, 2026; and Whereas, the estimated municipal revenues and transfers from all sources other than taxation is estimated at $63,490 and the balance of $376,097 is to be raised by general municipal property taxation; and Whereas, the estimated municipal expenditures (excluding non-cash items) and transfers set out in the budget for the Summer Village of Parkland Beach for 2026 total $439,767; and Whereas, the requisitions are: | Alberta School Foundation Fund | | |-------------------------------------------------------|----------| | Alberta School Foundation Fund -Residential/Farm Land | $244,086 | | Alberta School Foundation Fund - Non- Residential | $11,503 | | Designated Industrial (DI) | $27 | | Total | $255,616 | Whereas, the assessed value of all property in The Summer Village of Parkland Beach as shown on the assessment roll is: | Residential | $81,179,800 | |----------------------------|---------------| | Residential - Recreational | $6,593,000 | | Non-residential | $2,358,200 | | Designated Industrial (DI) | $392,060 | | Exempt | $3,132,000 | Whereas, the Council of The Summer Village of Parkland Beach is required each year to levy on the assessed value of all property, tax rates sufficient to meet the estimated expenditures and the requisitions; and NOW THEREFORE under the rules and authority of the Municipal Government Act, the Council of The Summer Village of Parkland Beach, in the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. That the Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized to levy the following rates of taxation on the assessed value of all property as shown on the assessment roll of The Summer Village of Parkland Beach: 2. That the minimum amount payable per parcel as property tax for general municipal purposes shall be $1000. 3.
