## Summer Village of Pelican Narrows 2024 Property Tax Bylaw No. 103-2024 A BYLAW TO AUTHORIZE THE RATE OF TAXATION TO BE LEVIED AGAINST ASSESSABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF PELICAN NARROWS FOR THE 2024 TAXATION YEAR WHEREAS, the Summer Village of Pelican Narrows has prepared and adopted detailed estimated of municipal revenue expenses and expenditures as required, at the council meeting held on March 15, 2023; and WHEREAS, the estimated municipal revenue from all sources other than property taxation total 0 : WHEREAS, the estimated municipal expenses (excluding non-cash items) set out in the annual budget for the Summer Village of Pelican Narrows for 2024 total 303,447.; and the balance of 303,447.00 is to be raised by general municipal property taxation; and WHEARAS, the estimated amount required to repay principal debt to be raised by general municipal taxation is o \_and: WHEREAS, the estimated amount required for current year capital expenditures to be raised by general municipal taxation is 0 and; WHEREAS, the estimated amount required for future financial plans to be raised by municipal taxation is 0; and THEREFORE, the total amount to be raised by general municipal taxation is\_303,447.\_ and WHEREAS, the requisition is: ## Alberta School Foundation Fund - -Residential &amp; Farm land 139,630. - -Non-residential - -Allowance for uncollected taxes Opted Out School Board - -Residential &amp; Farm land 0 - -Non-residential - -Allowance for uncollected taxes 0 Designated Industrial Property 30. WHEREAS, the council is authorized to sub-classify assessed property, and to establish different rates to taxation in respect to each sub-class of property, subject to the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, Revised Statues of Alberta, 2000; and WHEREAS, the assessment value of all property in the Summer Village of Pelican Narrows as shown on the assessment roll is: Residential &amp; Farm land Exempt institutional /Recreational 55,897,330. - [ ] 3,933,660. <!-- image --> | Non-Residential | 319,730. | |--------------------------------|-------------| | Machinery and Equipment | 0 | | Total Assessment | 56,217,060. | | Designated Industrial Property | 319,730. | NOW THEREFORE under the authority of the Municipal Government Act, the Council of the Summer Village of Pelican Narrows, in the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. This bylaw comes into force at the beginning of the day that it is passed unless otherwise provided for in the MGA or another enactment or in the bylaw.
