BY-LAW NO. 201
IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
TO PROVIDE FOR THE IMPOSITION
AND PAYMENT OF A LEVY
TO BE KNOWN AS AN "OFF-SITE LEVY"
WHEREAS the Alberta Planning Act being Chapter P-9 of the Revised Statutes
of Alberta 1980 and amendments thereto, authorized the Board of Administrators, ofthe
New Town of Rainbow Lake, in the Province of Alberta, to impose an "Off-Site Levy";
AND WHEREAS the Board of Administrators, of the New Town of Rainbow
Lake, in the Province of Alberta, engaged P. Siemens Engineering Services Ltd. to carry
out a study of the existing water and sewer facilities and future requirements which
reports are attached hereto as Schedule "A" and Schedule "B" of this By-law;
AND WHEREAS the Board of Administrators, of the New Town of Rainbow
Lake, in the Province of Alberta, deem it necessary to impose an Off-Site Levy in respect
of land to be developed or subdivided to pay a portion of the cost of expanding the water
and sewer system;
NOW THEREFORE the Board of Administrators, of the New Town of Rainbow
Lake, in the Province of Alberta, being duly assembled, HEREBY ENACT AS
FOLLOWS:
(a)
That an Off-Site Levy of $500 per residence
be imposed on single family residential lots;
and $150.00 per each bachelor suite; and
$250.00 per each two bedroom suite; $350.00 per each
two bedroom suite; and $500.00 per each three-bedroom
suite be imposed on multi-family residential lots and $200.00 per
acre be imposed on industrial and commercial properties to pay
portion of the capital cost of expanding the New Town of Rainbow
Lake Water System; and
(b)
That an Off-Site Levy of $500.00 per residence
be imposed on single family residential lots;
and $150.00 per each bachelor suite; $250.00
per each one-bedroom suite; $350.00 per each
two-bedroom suite; and $500.00 per each three-
bedroom suite be imposed on multi-family
residential lots and $200.00 per acre be
imposed on industrial and commercial properties
to pay a portion of the capital cost of expanding
the New Town of Rainbow Lake Sewage System.
THIS BY-LAW shall come into effect on the date of its final passage thereof.
