( ( ## BY-LAW 861-97 ## A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF RAYMOND TO ALLOW FOR THE USE OF EXIT STREETS BY SNOW VEHICLES WHEREAS it is deemed necessary by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Raymond to designate exit streets for snow vehicles to use when exiting the limits of the Town. NOW THEREFORE by authority of the Municipal Government Act, being Chapter M-26.1 (1994) of the Statutes of Alberta and as amended the Council of the Town of Raymond enacts as follows: - The streets of the Town of Raymond noted hereafter shall be known as "exit streets" and snow vehicles are permitted to operate on these streets between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on each and every day: All of Fourth Avenue South from Town boundary to Town boundary. Second Avenue South between Second Street West and Second Street East. Second Street East between Fourth Avenue South and Railway Avenue. First Avenue North between Second Street West and Fourth Street West Third Street West between First Avenue North and Third Avenue North. Third Avenue North between Second Street West and Third Street West. Second Street West between First Avenue North and Second Avenue South and also between Third Avenue North and Fifth Avenue North. First Avenue South between Second Street West and Fourth Street West. Railway Avenue between Second Street East to the Town boundaries on the North East corner of the Town of Raymond. First Avenue North between Second Street East and East Park Street. - Snow vehicles are permitted to operate on the shortest route to the closest exit street to each snow vehicle owner's residence between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on each and every day. - The operation of snow vehicles is not permitted in the foregoing areas between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next morning. 4. The exit streets and the shortest routes to them shall only be used by snow vehicle operators as access streets to the area surrounding the Town of Raymond, and they shall not be used as regular recreation areas for the use of snow vehicles. - No person under the age of 14 years shall operate a snow vehicle on the exit streets or on the shortest routes to them. ( - Any person contravening any of the provisions of this Bylaw shall be guilty of an offense and shall be liable on conviction, - a. for the first offense, to a fine not exceeding fifty ($ 50.00) dollars and costs; - for the second and subsequent offense to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty ($ 250.00) dollars and costs. - The Bylaw Enforcement Officer of the Town of Raymond and any RCMP Officer are hereby authorized and empowered to issue a violation ticket pursuant to part II of the Provincial Offenses Procedure Act of the Statutes of Alberta (1988), being Chapter P-21.5 and as amended. - Bylaw No. 600 and 619 is hereby repealed.
