SUMMER VILLAGE OF ROCHON SANDS
BYLAW #253-20
BUFFALO LAKE INTERMUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN REVISION 2020
BYLAW #253-20 of the Summer Village of Rochon Sands, in the Province of Alberta, in accordance with the
Municipal Government Act Chapter M-26 Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000 and amendments thereto, to
provide for adoption of the revised Buffalo Lake South Shore Intermunicipal Development Plan;
WHEREAS Section 631 of the Municipal Government Act provides for two or more municipalities to adopt an
intermunicipal development plan,
AND WHEREAS The Councils of Lacombe County, Camrose County, County of Stettler No. 6, The Summer
Village of Rochon Sands and The Summer Village of White Sands have recognized the need to cooperate in the
planning of future land use and development around Buffalo Lake,
AND WHEREAS the Municipal Council of Summer Village of Rochon Sands had previously adopted
BYLAW #220-15 known as Buffalo Lake Intermunicipal Development Plan,
NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Council of Summer Village of Rochon Sands in the Province of Alberta
hereby adopts BYLAW #253-20 containing the revised Buffalo Lake Intermunicipal Development Plan, attached
hereto and forming part of this Bylaw.
AND THEREFORE Bylaw #209-10 and Bylaw #220-15 are hereby rescinded.
READ A FIRST TIME this 14th day of July 2020.
PUBLIC HEARING scheduled for August 11, 2020.
READ A SECOND TIME the 13th day of October 2020.
READ A THIRD AND FINAL TIME the 13th day of October 2020.
