VILLAGE OF ROSALIND
IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
BY-LAW 244-15
A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF ROSALIND IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO PROVIDE A
LOCAL IMPROVEMENT FEE
WHEREAS Section 8 (C) (i) of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, R.S.A. 2000,
and Amendments thereto, the Council of the Village of Rosalind, requires that a Local
Improvement Fee be established.
AND WHEREAS Section 397 (1) of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, R.S.A.
2000, outlines the Local Improvement Tax Bylaw in respect of the Local Improvement
Fee being imposed.
NOW THEREFORE the Council for the Village of Rosalind in the Province of Alberta, duly
assembled, hereby enacts as follows:
1. A Local Improvement Fee for the purpose of garbage removal is applied to each
residential and non-residential property tax rolls for the Village of Rosalind.
2. That the procedure of garbage removal be indicated by the Regional Solid Waste
Management Association that is associated with the Village of Rosalind.
3. That it be noted in the Village of Rosalind Tax Roll Information if said property is
exempt from the Local Improvement Fee.
4. That the non-residential accounts be charged accordingly, based on the fee
implemented by the Regional Solid Waste Management Association.
5. That the Local Improvement Fee of One Hundred Twenty Five Dollars ($150.00)
be rescinded.
6. That the Local Improvement of Two Hundred Dollars ($200) be applied to each
residential and non-residential property tax roll for the Village of Rosalind.
7. That this Bylaw shall become effective upon the date of the passing of the third
and final reading of this Bylaw and is executed in accordance to Section 213.3.
