## VILLAGE OF RYCROFT BYLAW NO. 233-21
## "LAND USE BYLAW AMENDMENT"
BEING A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF RYCROFT IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO AMEND THE LAND USE BYLAW 215-19 BY CHANGING THE ALLOWABLE HEIGHT OF A FRONT YARD FENCE FROM 3 FEET TO 4 FEET.
WHEREAS, the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000, Chapter M-26 as amended, authorizes the Council to pass, repeal or amend any bylaw.
NOW THEREFORE under the authority of the Municipal Government Act RSA 2000, Chapter M-26, the Council of the Village of Rycroft, in the Province of Alberta, duly assembled enacts as follows:
1. This Bylaw may be cited as the "LAND USE BYLAW RESIDENTIAL FENCE HEIGHT AMENDMENT"
2. The bylaw shall be amended by the following underlined change:
3. 4.8.2 No fence shall be constructed that is:
4. (b) greater than 1.23 m (4 ft) in height in a front yard, or
5. (a) greater than 1.8 m (6 ft) in height in a side or rear yard, or
6. (c) in the case of a corner lot, more than 1 m (3 ft) high within the sight triangle of the site, regardless of whether or not a corner cut-off has been taken.
3. Severability: If any portion of this bylaw is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, then the invalid portion must be severed, and the remainder of the bylaw is deemed valid.
4. This Bylaw is an amendment to Land Use Bylaw 215-19.
## Effective Date:
This Bylaw comes into effect upon third and final reading.
