## SUMMER VILLAGE OF SANDY BEACH IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
BYLAW NO. 06-2026
BEING A BYLAW OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF SANDY BEACH, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO AUTHORIZE THE RATES OF TAXATION TO BE LEVIED AGAINST ASSESSABLE PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the Summer Village of Sandy Beach has prepared and adopted detailed estimates of municipal revenue, expenses and expenditures as required, at the Council meeting held on November 25%h, 2025 and subsequently amended at the Council meeting held on April 16th, 2026; and
WHEREAS the estimated municipal revenues from all sources other than property taxation total $322,028.01; and:
WHEREAS, the estimated municipal expenses (excluding non-cash items) set out in the annual budget for the Summer Village of Sandy Beach for 2026 total $749,394.78; and the balance of $427,366.77 is to be raised by general municipal property taxation; and
THEREFORE, the total amount to be raised by general municipal taxation is $427,366.77.
WHEREAS the requisitions are:

WHEREAS the Council is authorized to sub-classify assessed property, and to establish different rates of taxation in respect to each sub-class of property, subject to the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, Revised Statutes of Alberta, 2000; and
WHEREAS the assessed value of all property in the Summer Village of Sandy Beach as shown on the assessment roll is:

NOW THEREFORE, under the authority of the Municipal Government Act, the Council of the Summer Village of Sandy Beach, in the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows:
1. That the Chief Administrative Officer is hereby authorized to levy the following rates of taxation on the assessed value of all property as shown on the assessment roll of the Summer Village of Sandy Beach:
2. That the minimum amount payable per parcel as property tax for general municipal purposes shall be $800.00.
3. This bylaw shall come into force upon the day which it finally passed by the Municipal Council.
4. That this Bylaw shall take effect on the date of the third and final reading.
