BYLAW NO.008-2023
OF THE TOWN OF SMOKY LAKE
IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
BEING A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF SMOKY LAKE IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA AUTHORIZING
THE UTILIZATION OF A PARKING LOT SITUATED WITHIN A DESIGNATED ENVIRONMENTAL
RESERVE, LEGALLY RECOGNIZED AS PLAN NO. 8120751, BLOCK 3, LOT 48ER
WHEREAS the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, as amended authorizes Council by bylaw to authorize
the use of an environmental reserve for a purpose not specified in section 671(1);
AND WHEREAS this Bylaw has been prepared in accordance with sections 216.4, 606,676(1),676(1)(a) of the
Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000 under the direction of the Council of the Town of Smoky Lake,
authorizing the utilization of a parking lot situated within a designated environmental reserve, legally recognized
as Plan No. 8120751, Block 3, Lot 48ER;
NOW THEREFORE the council of the Town of Smoky Lake, duly assembled, and pursuant to the authority
conferred upon it by the Municipal Government Act R.S.A. 2000, c. M-26 as amended, enact as follows:
1. This Bylaw shall take effect upon Third Reading by Council.
2. This bylaw shall be cited as. "Authorized parking lot use for Plan No. 8120751, block 3, lot 48er".
3. If any portion of this Bylaw is found to be invalid, the remaining portions remain in effect.
4. This Bylaw may be amended by Bylaw in accordance with the Municipal Government Act R.S.A. 2000,
c. M-26 as amended.
READ a FIRST time this 24th Day of July, 2023.
READ a SECOND time this 28th Day of August, 2023.
READ a THIRD and FINAL time this 28th Day of August, 2023.
