BYLAW 1736-95 BEING A BYLAW TO ESTABLISH A SUBDIVISION AUTHORITY TO EXERCISE SUBDIVISION CONTROL IN THE TOWN OF STETTLER. WHEREAS the Municipal Government Act M-26.1 1994 as amended regulates under Section 623 that each municipality must establish a Subdivision Authority with powers and duties to administer subdivisions within the municipality. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Town of Stettler in the Province of Alberta duly assembled enacts as follows: 1. This Bylaw may be cited as the Town of Stettler Subdivision Approving Authority Bylaw. 2. The Subdivision Approving Authority shall consist of the Stettler Town Council as a whole with a quorum being the Mayor or Deputy Mayor and three (3) members of Council. 3. Final signing endorsement of all subdivisions on behalf of the Subdivision Approving Authority shall be executed by the Mayor and in his/her absence the Deputy Mayor shall sign. 4. The Subdivision Approving Authority may, by Council resolution, appoint a Subdivision administrator and recording secretary for the purpose of; recording and filing minutes; researching and preparing subdivision reports; maintaining a complete filing system on subdivisions.
