SUMMER VILLAGE OF SUNDANCE BEACH Municipal Government Act RSA 2000 Chapter M-26 Section 353 PROPERTY TAX BYLAW BYLAW NO.2025-03 Property Tax Summer Village of Sundance Beach Page 1 of 2 A BYLAW TO AUTHORIZE THE RATES OF PROPERTY TAXATION TO BE LEVIED AGAINST ASSESSABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF SUNDANCE BEACH FOR THE 2025 TAXATION YEAR. WHEREAS, the Summer Village of Sundance Beach (the "Summer Village") has prepared and adopted the detailed estimates of the municipal revenue and expenditures, as required, at the Council meeting held on April 10th, 2025; and WHEREAS, the estimated municipal expenditures and transfers, including requisitions, as set out in the operating and capital budget for the Summer Village for 2025 total $544,670.49; and WHEREAS, the estimated municipal operating revenue, capital revenue, and transfers from all sources other than taxation is estimated at $131,785.00; and THEREFORE, the balance of $224,874.33 is to be raised by general municipal taxation, and WHEREAS, the requisitions are: Alberta School Foundation Fund - Residential/Farmland $ 187,637.10 - Non-residential $ 367.04 - Machinery & Equipment $ 0.00 Designated Industrial Requisition $ 6.80 WHEREAS, the Council of the Summer Village is required each year to levy on the assessed value of all property tax rates sufficient to meet the estimated expenditures and the requisitions; and WHEREAS, the Council of the Summer Village is authorized to sub-classify assessed property, and to establish different rates of taxation in respect to each sub-class of property, subject to the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26, Revised Statues of Alberta, 2000 (the "MGA"); and WHEREAS, the assessed value of all property in the Summer Village as shown on the assessment roll is: NOW THEREFORE under the authority of the MGA, the Council of the Summer Village, duly assembled, enacts as follows: PROPERTY CLASS ASSESSMENT Residential $ 69,846,300 Non-residential $ 97,060 TOTAL TAXABLE ASSESSMENT $ 69,943,360 SUMMER VILLAGE OF SUNDANCE BEACH Municipal Government Act RSA 2000 Chapter M-26 Section 353 PROPERTY TAX BYLAW BYLAW NO.2025-03 Property Tax Summer Village of Sundance Beach Page 2 of 2 1. GENERAL 2.1 Each separate provision of this Bylaw shall be deemed independent of all other provisions and if any provisions of this bylaw shall be declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, then all other provisions shall remain valid and enforceable. 3. COMING INTO FORCE 3.1 This Bylaw shall come into full force and effect upon final passing. READ a first time this 8th day of May, 2025. READ a second time this 8th day of May, 2025.
