<!-- image --> ## TOWN OF SWAN HILLS BYLAW NO. 2024-04 BEING A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF SWAN HILLS, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, TO ESTABLISH AN INTERMUNICIPAL SUBDIVISION AND DEVELOPMENT APPEAL BOARD FOR BIG LAKES COUNTY, THE TOWN OF HIGH PRAIRIE, THE TOWN OF SLAVE LAKE, THE TOWN OF SWAN HILLS AND THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF LESSER SLAVE RIVER WHEREAS Section 627 of the Municipal Government Act authorizes a municipality to enter into an agreement with one or more municipalities to establish an intermunicipal subdivision and development appeal board; AND WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Swan Hills deems it beneficial to establish an intermunicipal subdivision and development appeal board to hear subdivision and development appeals; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Town of Swan Hills hereby enacts as follows: 1. This Bylaw may be cited as the "Slake Lake Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Bylaw". 2. The Town of Swan Hills is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement between Big Lakes County, the Town of High Prairie, the Town of Slave Lake and the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River (the "Municipalities") to provide for the following: 3. (a) the hearing of subdivision appeals and development appeals arising within the boundaries of the Municipalities; 4. (b) the procedure and conduct of the Slave Lake Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board and its members; and 5. (c) the functions and duties of the Slave Lake Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board. <!-- image --> ## TOWN OF SWAN HILLS BYLAW NO. 2024-04 3. The position of Clerk is established for the purpose of carrying out the powers, duties and functions of the clerk in accordance with the Municipal Government Act and the Slave Lake Regional Subdivision and Development Appeal Board agreement. 4. Bylaw No. 2019-02 is repealed and replaced. 5. This Bylaw becomes effective on the date it is signed and passed. READ A FIRST TIME this 27 \_day of\_November\_, 2024.
