A Bylaw of the Town of Two Hills in the Province of Alberta for the purpose of
closing public travel and disposing of portions of a public highway in accordance
with Section 22 of the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M26.1, Revised
Statutes of Alberta 2000, as amended.
WHEREAS the lands hereafter described are no longer required for public travel, and
WHEREAS application has been made to Council to have the highway closed, and
WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Two Hills deems it expedient to provide for a bylaw
for the purpose of closing to public travel certain roads, or portions thereof, situated in the
said municipality, and therefore disposing of same, and
WHEREAS notice of the intention of Council to pass a bylaw has been given in
accordance with Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, and notice given locally
in the newspaper on October 26 & November 2, 2022.
WHEREAS Council was not petitioned for an opportunity to be heard by any person
claiming to be prejudicially affected by the bylaw
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Two Hills in the
Province of Alberta does hereby close to public travel for the purpose of disposing of,
the following laneway, subject to rights of access granted by other legislation:
All that portion of the lane lying north of block 3, plan 1011eo and south of
block 10, plan 8309et as shown on plan 222 containing 0.030 hectares (0.07
acres) more or less Excepting thereout all mines and minerals
That this Bylaw shall take effect on the date of the third and final reading.
Bylaw No. 2022-1018 be given a first reading this 25th day of October, 2022.
Bylaw No. 2022-1018 be given a second reading this 25th day of October, 2022.
Bylaw No. 2022-1018 be given third and final reading this 7th day of November, 2022.
