BYLAW No. 270-19
SUMMER VILLAGE OF VAL QUENTIN
A BYLAW OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF VAL QUENTIN IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO
ESTABLISH THE SPEED LIMIT IN THE INCORPORATED LIMITS OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE
OF VAL QUENTIN.
WHEREAS PROVISIONS OF Section 106 of the Traffic Safety Act, being Chapter T-6 of the
revised statures of Alberta, 2000, and amendments thereto, authorizes the Council of the Summer
Village of Val Quentin to establish a maximum speed of less than 50 kilometers per hour for all or
any part of the highway;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Summer Village of Val Quentin duly assembled, enacts as
follows:
1. The speed limit within the incorporated limits of the Summer Village of Val Quentin will be
thirty (30) kilometers per hour.
2. The R.C.M. P. and the Community Police Officer will be engaged to police within the Summer
Village and as such are empowered to do so by this bylaw.
3. Bylaw 212 is hereby repealed.
