## BY-LAW 3-2021 OF THE TOWN OF VERMILION ## (hereinafter referred to as the "Municipality") IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA ## BEING A BY-LAW OF THE TOWN OF VERMILION IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO ADOPT THE 2021 VERMILION INTERMUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN WHEREAS, the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. M-26, as amended, ("the Act") enables municipalities to adopt an Intermunicipal Development Plan; WHEREAS, an Intermunicipal Development Plan has been prepared for the Town of Vermilion and the County of Vermilion River No. 24 based on committee input, public input, studies of land use, development, and other relevant data; WHEREAS, the foresaid Intermunicipal Development Plan describes the way in which the future development within the Plan Area may be carried out in an orderly and economic manner; and NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Town of Vermilion in the Province of Alberta duly assembled and pursuant to the authority conferred on it by the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. M-26, as amended, enacts as follows: 1. The Vermilion Intermunicipal Development Plan attached hereto as Schedule "A" to this Bylaw is hereby adopted. 2. This Bylaw may be cited as the "Vermilion Intermunicipal Development Plan." 3. Bylaws No. 8-2016 (the previous "Vermilion Intermunicipal Development Plan") and No. 13-2010 (the "Highways 16/41 Crossroads Area Structure Plan"), both as amended, are hereby repealed. 4. This Bylaw may be amended by Bylaw in accordance with the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, c. M-26, as amended. 5. Should any provision of this Bylaw be found invalid, the invalid provision shall be severed, and the remaining Bylaw shall be maintained. 6. This Bylaw shall come into force upon receipt of its third and final reading.
