## BYLAW 1-2020 OF THE TOWN OF VERMILION (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE "MUNICIPALITY") IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
BEING A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF VERMILION, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, TO PROHIBIT OR REGULATE AND CONTROL THE USE AND DEVELOPMENT OF LAND AND BUILDINGS WITHIN THE TOWN OF VERMILION.
AND WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary to pass a land use bylaw in accordance with Section 640 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, ch. M-26, as amended;
AND WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 692 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, ch. M-26, as amended, it is Council's intention to pass the Bylaw and to hold a Public Hearing, which will be published in the Vermilion Standard on February 12 and 19, 2020.
AND WHEREAS a Public Hearing is to be held on March 3, 2020 at the Town Hall and all persons and groups who wish to make a presentation to Council will be heard.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Town of Vermilion, Alberta, duly assembled, hereby enacts as follows:
1. The title of this Land Use Bylaw shall be the Land Use Bylaw of the Town of Vermilion.
2. That the Land Use Bylaw attached hereto and forming part of this Bylaw is hereby adopted.
3. That this Bylaw shall come into full force and effect upon the final passing thereof.
4. L That all amendments to this Bylaw shall be made by Council by bylaw and in conformity with the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, ch. M-26, as
5. Bylaws 30-61, 45-63, 7-69, 25-80, 4-81, 8-81, 10-81, 18-81, 3-82, 4-82, 582, 13-82, 7-83, 11-83, 12-83, 19-83, 20-83, 24-83, 2-84, 6-84, 1-86, 112013 and all amendments thereto, and 12-2013 are hereby repealed.
6. If any section or parts of this bylaw are found in any court of law to be illegal or beyond the power of Council to enact, such section or parts shall be deemed to be severable and all other sections or parts of this bylaw shall be deemed to be separate and independent there from and to be enacted as such.
