BYLAW #535-18
FOR THE VILLAGE OF VILNA
IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF VILNA IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO
AMEND THE COST SCALE FOR WATER FROM THE WATER SUPPLY
DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND SEWER INTO THE COLLECTING SYSTEM
AND SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND TRANSFER AND THE MONTHLY
LEVY FOR EACH THEREOF.
WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and advisable to make provisions for the change of unit
costs of water rates for water supplies from the water distribution system, sewer rates for the
sewer collecting system and the landfill/garbage maintenance fees of the Village of Vilna to
meet the cost of maintaining and operating the said systems.
THEREFORE the Council of the Village of Vilna in the Province of Alberta duly assembled
enacts as follows:
1. All water consumers shall pay:
a) a fixed charge as listed below, plus
b) an operating charge of $1.90 per cubic metre of water consumption
plus
c) a charge equal to the rate charged to the Village by the Highway 28/63
Regional Water Services Commission.
d) Residential Non Metered water shall be charged the Water Fixed Rate Fee
plus a rate of $40.00 per month per residence.
e) Non-Residential Non Metered water charge shall be based on the water
line size at a rate of $100.00 per inch per month.
2.
Sewer shall be charged at the fixed rates as listed.
3.
Garbage and Landfill costs shall be charged at the fixed rates as listed.

BYLAW #535-18
This Bylaw shall come into effect upon its passing and upon coming into effect as of June
30, 2018 and continue to be law until amended or repealed.
That Bylaw 519-15 is hereby repealed.
