## SUMMER VILLAGE OF WAIPAROUS BYLAW 160-24
BEING A BYLAW OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF WAIPAROUS IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO AUTHORIZE A SYSTEM OF NUMBERING PROPERTIES WITHIN THE SUMMER VILLAGE
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Summer Village of Waiparous deems it lecessary to establish a system of property site numbering within the Summer Village and continue to maintain this system in order to provide Fire Protectior and Emergency Services for the public of Waiparous in an expedient manner.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Summer Village of Waiparous in the Province of Alberta duly assembled, hereby enacts as follows:
## 1. Short Title
This Bylaw may be called the Property Numbering Bylaw.
## 2. Purpose
The purpose of this bylaw is to establish and maintain a system of numbering building sites within the Summer Village of Waiparous.
## 3. Site Numbering
- 3.1 A number shall be allotted for each building site.
- 3.2 Property owners shall supply, install and display a site number at the front entrance of the property as follows:
- b) Install the sign between 1 metre and 2 metre above ground level. measured from the bottom of the sign;
- a) Supply a sign as per the specifications for signs as outlined in Appendix A of this bylaw;
- c) Install the sign on a fire-resistant post;
- d) Ensure the sign is clearly visible from the road and located within 1 metre either side of the property boundary.
- 3.3 For the purpose of property site numbering, signs made of aluminum backing with engineered grade UV protected reflective vinyl lettering are acceptable.
- Numbers are not to be obstructed by trees, shrubs or any ornaments hanging from the house or landscaping.
## 4. Penalties
- 4.1 A person who contravenes or fails to comply with any conditions any order or request directed to him/her pursuant to this bylaw is guilty of an offence as listed in Appendix B of this bylaw.
- 4.2 Violations tickets will be issued by the Municipal Administrator, appointed by the Council of the Summer Village of Waiparous.

## 5. General Matters
- 5.1 Bylaw Number 121-14 and any amendments thereto are hereby rescinded in their entirety.
- 5.2 This Bylaw shall come into force upon final reading thereof.
