132-21 Administrative Fees and Penalties Page 1 of 2 Bylaw 132-21 A BYLAW OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF WHISPERING HILLS, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, IN RELATION TO THE MATTERS RELATED TO ADMINISTRATIVE FEES AND PENALTIES WHEREAS under the Authority of the Municipal Government Act RSA 2000 Chapter M-26, section 8 authorizes Council to pass bylaws to establish fees and licenses: AND WHEREAS it is felt that the levying of administration fees and charges is desirable in assisting to recover costs incurred by the municipality in the administration of good government; NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Summer Village of Whispering Hills, duly assembled, enacts as follows: 1. SHORT TITLE 1.1. That this bylaw may be cited as the "Administrative Fees" bylaw. 2. CONDITIONS 2.1. The municipality shall levy a fee of $50.00 against every person or company presenting the municipality with a cheque which subsequently proves to be returned by the banking institution on which it is drawn for reason of being Non-Sufficient Funds in the account on which it is drawn, or dishonored for some other reason and that every fee so levied shall be payable forthwith, and further services of the municipality shall be denied until payment is received; and 2.2. The charge for Tax Certificates shall be $50.00 each; and 2.3. The charge for Compliance Certificates shall be as follows: 2.3.1. $200.00 if required within 24 hours and 2.3.2. $ 100.00 for all others; 2.4. The charge for Development permits shall be as follows: New Dwelling Unit $100.00 Accessory/Additions $ 50.00 Demolition $ 50.00 2.5. The charge for Subdivisions shall be as follows: Application Fee $400.00 Additional lots (per lot fee) $200.00 Endorsement Fee (per lot) $50.00 Lot Consolidation/Plan Cancellation $400.00 132-21 Administrative Fees and Penalties Page 2 of 2 2.6. The charge for a Subdivision Appeal shall be $150.00 plus any related costs, and 2.7. The charge for a Development Appeal shall be $100.00 with $50.00 to be refunded should the appeal be upheld by the Development Appeal board; and 2.8. The charge for a redistricting or rezoning of property shall be $100.00 plus any related costs; and 2.9. The charge for Tax Recovery Notification Caveats shall be $50.00 plus any related costs for the tax notification as invoiced by Land Titles or Taxervice; and 2.10. The cost for photocopying of any municipal minutes or bylaws shall be $1.00 per page. 2.11. The rates shall come into full force and effect on September 1, 2021. 3. SEVERABILITY Should any provision of this Bylaw be invalid, then such provision shall be severed and the remainder of the Bylaw should remain in force. 4. RESCINDING This bylaw rescinds 62-96 5. COMING INTO FORCE This Bylaw shall come into effect upon the third and final reading and signing of this Bylaw unless a future date is noted to come into force.
