## SUMMER VILLAGE OF WHITE SANDS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BYLAW NO. 54
A Bylaw of the Summer Village of White Sands, in the Province of Alberta, pursuant to provisions of the Municipal Government Act, being Chapter M-26.1 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1994 and amendments thereto, to provide for the establishment of Development Authority in the Summer Village of White Sands.
WHEREAS the Municipal Council wishes to establish development authority as required by the Municipal Government Act, Chapter M-26.1 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1994 and amendments thereto;
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Summer Village of White Sands, duly assembled, enacts as follows:
## Title:
- This Bylaw may be cited as the "Development Authority Bylaw".
## Definitions
2. The following words and terms are defined as follows:
- a. "Act" means the Municipal Government Act, S.A. 1994, c.M-26.1, as amended;
- b. "Authority" means the Development Authority" established pursuant to this Bylaw;
4. "Council" means the Council of the Summer Village of White Sands;
5. "Development Officer" means one of the persons appointed to the position of Development Officer pursuant to Land Use Bylaw No. 10;
- e. "Land Use Bylaw" means the Land Use Bylaw No. 10;
- f. "Summer Village" means the Summer Village of White Sands.
## Establishment of Authority
- The Development Authority of the Summer Village is the person or persons appointed by Resolution of Council as Development Officer pursuant to the Land Use Bylaw.
## Powers and Duties
4. The Authority has those powers and duties as set out in the Act, any regulations made thereunder and as further set out in the Land Use Bylaw.
2. The powers and duties of the Authority may be exercised by any one of the individuals appointed as Development Officer where so set out in the Land Use Bylaw.
