VILLAGE OF YOUNGSTOWN IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA BYLAW 22-725 MUNICIPAL FEES A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF YOUNGSTOWN IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO SET FEES AND RATES REPECTING SERVICES AND GOODS PROVIDED BY THE VILLAGE OF YOUNGSTOWN WHEREAS the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000 Chapter M-26, as amended, authorizes the municipality to adopt a bylaw to establish and charge fees and rates, and NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Village of Youngstown, in the Province of Alberta, duly assembled, enacts as follows: 1. ENACTMENT This bylaw will be cited as the Municipal Fees Bylaw. The user fees and charges are established by this bylaw as detailed in the attached Schedule "A". 2.SEVERABILITY Each separate provision of this Bylaw shall be deemed independent of all provisions, and if any provision of this bylaw be declared invalid, all other provisions shall remain valid and enforceable. 3.REPEAL That Bylaw 00-673, policies #8-2, #8-2.1, #8-2.2, and #8-2.3 thereto be hereby repealed. 4. EFFECTIVE DATE This Bylaw shall come into full force and effect, on the date of third and final reading. READ a first time in Council this 5th day of April, 2022. READ a second time in Council this 5th day of April, 2022. READ a third time in Council and finally passed this 5th day of April, 2022. _____________________________________________________ Robert BlagenEmma Garlock MayorMunicipal Administrator Bylaw 22-725 Municipal Fees Bylaw Schedule "A" Appeal Fees Assessment Appeals - $50 Subdivision and Development Appeals - $200 Planning and Development Fees Compliance letter - $25 Development Permit - $25 Land Use Rezoning $500 Public Works Hourly charge for grass cutting is $75.00 an hour based on a minimum charge of $100 per parcel of land Hourly rate for Village equipment and the foreman is $120 Hourly rate for the Village foreman is $50 Sewer Snake Snake rental - $25.00 per hour Snake rental with Village employee - $75 per hour (employees discretion) Sewer lines are the responsibility of the taxpayer to the main sewer line User Fees and Charges Copy of document - $10 per document Faxing - $1 per page NSF Cheque - $25 Photocopying per page - $0.25 black and white $1 colour Tax Certificates and Assessment Letters - $20 Title Searches - $15 Water Bulk Water Rates bypassing the coin machine or from a hydrant - $4 per cubic meter Tap on fee for taxpayers - $200 plus costs Tap on fee for non taxpayers - $500 plus costs Water connection fee - $25 Water disconnection fee for non payment - $50 Water lines are the responsibility of the taxpayer to the property line Sewer Lagoon Dumping Single axle truck up to 7 cubic meters $35 a load Tandem truck 10 cubic meters $50 a load Tri-drive truck 13 cubic meters $65 a load
