V I L L A G E O F B E L C A R R A Bylaw 256, 1997 A Bylaw to Establish Fines for Bylaw Violations WHEREAS Section 934.1 of the Municipal Act authorizes the Council, by bylaw, to: 1. Designate those bylaws which may be enforced by means of a form of ticket prescribed by regulation under Section 934.3; 2. Designate Bylaw Enforcement Officers for the purpose of enforcing bylaws by means of a prescribed form of ticket; 3. Designate an offence against a bylaw by means of a word or expression on a ticket; and 4. In consultation with the Chief Judge of the Provincial Court, set fines, not exceeding $500.00, for contravention of designated bylaws; NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Village of Belcarra, in open meeting assembled enacts as follows: 1. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as "Municipal Ticket Information Bylaw No. 256, 1997". 2. The bylaws listed on Schedule 1 to this bylaw may be enforced by means of a ticket in the form prescribed for the purpose of Section 934.1 of the Municipal Act. 3. The persons appointed to the positions or titles listed on Schedule 1 to this bylaw are designated as Bylaw Enforcement Officers pursuant to the Municipal Act for the purpose of enforcing the bylaws listed opposite the respective positions. 4. Schedules 2 through 11 to this bylaw designate the offences committed under the corresponding bylaw section numbers and the fines set pursuant to the Local Government Act for the corresponding offences. 5. This bylaw shall take effect upon the date of its registration.
