A bylaw to impose
Water User Fees for 2020
- 2021
WHEREAS Section 194 (1) of the Community Charter allows Council, by bylaw, to impose fees
payable in respect of funding the Water Services.
NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the District of Cleanivater, Province of British
Columbia in open meeting assembled enacts as follows:
1. CITATION

This Bylaw may be cited as "District of Cleanlvater Water User Fees for 2020
2021, Bylaw No. 219, 2019."

PURPOSE

A bylaw fixing water user fees and other charges payable to the Districtof
Clean/vater and the terms of payment thereof and providing for a percentage
addition to encourage
prompt payment thereof.
The user fees are hereby fixed and made payable by all owners of occupied
premises
in the District of Clean/vater (excluding vacant land) where a service
pipeline has been made available and installed to the property line. See attached
Schedule "A"for 2020 Water User Fees and Schedule
"B"for 2021,,Water__User
Fees.
The aforesaid user fees shall be due and payable thirty (3G'j»

The Council/Administrator may order the water shut off to any premises onwhich
there are any user fees or other charges owing for ninety (90) dayslor'longer.'
Water shut off under this section shall be subject to the charges llevied'under
Section 2.6 of this bylaw, and all monies owing shall be due and payable before
water turn on.
The Council may by resolution reduce any user fees ?xed in the preceding clause
in respect of any premises not occupied throughout any period by an amount
commensurate
with the period the premises are unoccupied,
provided the owner or
occupant noti?es the District in writing as to the time the premises become or are
to become unoccupied. subject to the charges
levied under Section 2.6 of this
bylaw.
