NOTE: This is a consolidation for convenience purposes only and does not have the force of law.
A Bylaw to exempt certain properties from taxation
for a period of four years from 2024 - 2027
WHEREAS:
A. Sections 224-227 of the Community Charter, S.B.C. 2003, c.26 provide for the exemption
from taxation of certain properties for the ensuing year;
B. It has been deemed necessary and expedient to exempt from taxation certain
properties for the years 2024 - 2027;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Coquitlam, in meeting lawfully assembled,
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Schedule
The properties or the portions of properties described on "Schedule A", which is
attached to this bylaw, shall be exempt from taxation for the years 2024 - 2027.
2. Repeal
The City of Coquitlam Annual Taxation Exemption Bylaw No. 4786, 2017 and any
amendments thereto, are hereby repealed.
3. Name of Bylaw
This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the Taxation Exemption Bylaw No. 5333,
2023.
READ A FIRST TIME this 25th day of September, 2023.
READ A SECOND TIME this 25th day of September, 2023.
READ A THIRD TIME this 25th day of September, 2023.
NOTICE provided in accordance with Section 227 of the Community Charter this 5th day
of October, 2023 and 12th day of October, 2023.
