TOWN OF CRESTON Consolidated to December 17, 2024 BYLAW 1807 A bylaw to establish water user rates for the area served by the Town of Creston outside the Municipal boundaries thereof. WHEREAS the Community Charter allows Council, by bylaw, to establish water user rates for areas served by the Town of Creston that are located outside of the municipal boundaries; AND WHEREAS Council deems it necessary and in the public interest to repeal Water District Rates & Regulations Bylaw No. 1730 and adopt a new bylaw; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Town of Creston, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. This Bylaw may be cited for all intents and purposes as "Water District Rates & Regulations Bylaw No. 1807, 2014". 2. That user rates for the area served by the municipality outside of the municipal boundaries shall be those set out in Schedule "A" attached to and forming a part of this bylaw. 3. That the rates and charges set out in Schedules "A", "B" and "C" of this bylaw shall become effective as of January 1, 2015. 4. That regulations set out in Water Rates & Regulations Bylaw No. 1439 and Regulatory Bylaw Enforcement and Penalty Amending Bylaw No. 1773, 2011, as amended from time to time, continue to apply to all users on the municipal water system, regardless of whether said users are within or outside the municipal boundaries. 5. That "Water District Rates and Regulations Bylaw No. 1730, 2009", and all amendments thereto, be repealed in its entirety. For Non-Emergency Purposes * Shut-off $ 50 Turn-on $ 50 * Water shut-off and turn-on for non-emergency situations will be carried out only during regular working hours at these rates. If non-regular hours are requested, the cost charged will be the actual cost of the call out.
