CITY OF ENDERBY
BYLAW NO. 1479
A BYLAW TO ESTABLISH FEES AND CHARGES FOR
SERVICES AND INFORMATION
WHEREAS the Council of the City of Enderby deems it expedient to provide for fees
and charges for services and information;
AND WHEREAS Section 194 of the Community Charter authorizes municipalities by
bylaw to impose fees in respect of a service of the municipality or provision of
information;
AND WHEREAS Council deems it necessary and desirable to exercise the authority
provided by the Community Charter to cover costs of providing services and
information;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Enderby in open
meeting assembled, HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1.
This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as "CITY OF ENDERBY FEES AND
CHARGES BYLAW NO. 1479, 2010."
2.
The City of Enderby imposes fees for the provision of services and information
as specified in Schedules 1 to 9 inclusive.
3.
Fees or charges imposed under this Bylaw for the provision of services or
information apply instead of fees or charges imposed under other bylaws for the
same services or information.
4.
The following Bylaws are hereby repealed.
"City of Enderby Schedule of Fees Bylaw No. 1280, 2000" and all amendments
thereto, are hereby repealed.
"Development Application Fee Bylaw No. 1391, 2007" and all amendments
thereto, are hereby repealed.

Non-Metered Rates

Where metering is not possible, consumption is based on the average usage for the
same property class.

Where metering is possible, but refused, the user fee per period will be based on 500 m³
of consumption for the Jan - Apr and Sep - Dec periods and 1,000 m³ of consumption for
the May - Aug period. These consumption amounts will increase by 25 m³ in the Jan -
Apr and Sep - Dec periods and by 50 m³ in the May - Aug period each year.

For properties located outside of City limits, an annual flat rate fee will be charged in
addition to the User Fee. This flat rate fee will be equivalent to the annual frontage tax
rate charged consistent with the City of Enderby Water Frontage Tax Bylaw and will be
based on 100 feet of taxable frontage.

Where payment is not made on or before the due date established by the Chief Financial Officer
for each billing period there shall be payable a penalty of three (3%) percent on the total
balance outstanding.

Building Permit File Closing Fee (Refundable):
In addition to other fees and charges payable in accordance with this Schedule at the
time of permit issuance, a file closing fee will apply for all building permits as follows:
